Mermet is an active member of SNFPSA organisation (Syndicat National de la Fermeture, de la Protection Solaire et des Professions associées) and of the FFB (Fédération Française du Bâtiment).
As an essential player in the solar protection market, Mermet is part of three SNFPSA working groups involved in publicizing and promoting the energy-saving benefits of solar protection to specifiers and installers.
2 major works of standardization have been carried out :
- The publication of European Standards concerning the description of the thermal and optical properties of solar protection media and the methods for testing and calculating them (EN 14501 / 14500).
- The revision of requirements standards for internal and external blinds (EN 13561 / 13120).
- In order to communicate this information to specifiers and installers, the organisation has in addition published 2 leaflets aimed at providing a clear and succinct explanation of the requirements of these standards. To find out more, please look up http://www.snfpsa.ffbatiment.fr
