Assembling and making up the panels
When manufacturing a ready-to-use panel of fabric, making up the panel involves cutting (cold process or ultrasound cutting) and assembling the panels and/or making pockets by welding them (using thermal, high-frequency or ultrasound processes) or sewing them together. Stiffeners*, which are sometimes necessary for large blinds or tensioned structures covering a large area, can be used to reinforce the fabric.
* Rods inserted into sewed-on pockets.
For installing shaped panels or with suspended volumes, various systems may be envisaged. They can also be made up using a welded assembly, or making up pockets around them that allow eyelets to be fitted into them so they can be hung up :
Please feel free to refer to the instructions for making up the products, the details of which are featured on the back of each brochure in Mermet's Modulight® collection. |
